Compiling xFSTK on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

The xFSTK is needed if you want to flash the edison eMMC, there are no proper docs for compiling it, so here's how you do it.

This guide uses Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Get the latest verison of Intel xFSTK from here, I am using 1.7.3, http://sourceforge.net/projects/xfstk/files/ .

Now,

tar xf filename.tar.gz
cd dir_name
A few dependencies have to be installed before we can proceed, install them by running the command.

sudo apt-get install build-essential devscripts libxml2-dev alien doxygen graphviz libusb-dev libboost-all-dev libqt4-dev qt4-qmake cmake qtcreator
After this finishes installing, export two environmental variables.

export DISTRIBUTION_NAME=ubuntu14.04
export BUILD_VERSION=0.0.0
Now run

cmake .
make -j 4
Now all you have to do is run

make install
Your flashall script will now work !
