Change your DNS servers to Google DNS and OpenDNS servers to speed up your page loading time !

Does a page take a long time to resolve even with a superfast internet connection then the problem is with your DNS server !

The reason it takes a long time is because , your ISP gets a request to resolve the ip and therefore the time lag.

First when you type an web address in your browser ex.hacktohell.blogspot.com , a DNS request is sent to the DNS server of your ISP (Internet Service Provider). The internet service provider then returns the IP address of my blog and the browser navigates to that website .

Now the problem here is that your ISP's DNS servers are very slow so you can change your DNS servers to google's or OpenDNS for a faster result.

Google has two DNS servers

8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

OpenDNS also has two DNS servers

  • 208.67.222.222
  • 208.67.220.220

How to change your DNS server in Windows 7 ?

Click on the Monitor Like network icon on your task bar

Now right click the connection for which you want to change the DNS server and properties, go to the networking tab and double click Internet Protocol Version 4 now in the popup box choose Use the followin DNS server and enter the ip of the DNS server , I suggest you to use Google's DNS server so after entering it will be like this .
Now click ok and next time you dial the connection , you will be using Google's DNS servers :)
